Ron Boat, President of Group AMC, inc and Executive
Producer founded PS/A in 1971. Initially the company was
started for the production of live events including the first
Fiesta Bowl, music and comedy concerts. Then the world of
video production was added when they took over as the national
advertising agency for Aaron Rents Furniture from Atlanta and
Ad clients were added and production
expanded from just advertising to corporate image, training
and communications. The client list grew to include the world's
largest nuclear company, AREVA, from France, the country's
largest homebuilder, D.R. Horton, Intel, Best Western
Hotels, Northrop Grumman, Honeywell, resorts and hotels and
more. The love of production took the group away from being
just an ad agency so it could concentrate on studio and location
As with any group, PS/A found several industries
in which it was excelling. One of those as far back as the early 90's was the medical field.
We brought our activities into a variety of regimens that
the client needed in order to assist them in meeting their
goals for marketing, fund raising and training with graphics, printing and promotional items.
Ron directed and was technical director (TD)
for Naomi Judd for her broadcast on nursing from John C. Lincoln
Hospital, and was project manager and TD for Carnie Wilson's
broadcast from Scripps for a gastric bypass surgery, and some
of the major medical groups in the country such as Zimmer,
Wright, Gore and others. Our client
this area speaks for itself.
He oversaw the development of custom patient
education software for Johnson & Johnson, Physiotherapy
Associates and HealthSouth: Web design
and hosting for UnitedHealthcare's APIPA, and produced the
new product marketing and training videos for Primus Pharmaceutical's
drug, Limbrel. He produced the first video on Mini-Incision
hip surgeries for Smith+Nephew as far back as 2000 from St.
Rose Dominican Hospital in Las
From heart and gastric bypass operations,
knee and hip replacements, shoulder and tendon
repair surgeries to panel groups and other web casts, PS/A
has performed without one minute of dead time on the air. As
one medical client said of our crew after their broadcast..."You
guys really own the Southwest."
